Born on the Caribbean island of Curaçao and based in the Netherlands, DJ Virgil “El Gigante” has been bringing energy to Latin dance floors since 2000. With his Caribbean roots and years of experience in the international Latin scene, Virgil knows exactly what dancers need: the right track, at the right moment, with the right energy. His musical journey runs deep. His grandfather was a renowned trumpet and trombone player in Curaçao, performing with legendary bands such as Estrellas del Caribe and Melodia 57. Virgil continued that musical tradition himself as a drummer before finding his true passion behind the decks. Today, his sets are a vibrant journey through Salsa, Mambo, Guaguancó, Merengue, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk and Reggaeton, always carefully selected to keep the dance floor alive. When the occasion calls for it, he effortlessly adds international and Top 40 sounds to the mix. Over the years, DJ Virgil has brought his sound beyond the Netherlands to dance floors and events across Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Cyprus, Turkey, Oman, Dubai and Israel.
