Dance became my career after 13 years as a professional chef. Since founding La Bodeguita in 2004, my favorite part of the work has been watching students grow. I love seeing someone go from hesitating on their first steps to trusting themselves, enjoying the music, and asking someone to dance.
I’m Gabriel Castellanos, an entrepreneur, dancer, and owner of La Bodeguita. I spent 13 years working as a professional chef before becoming a dancer. In 2004, I founded La Bodeguita, a salsa and bachata dance school in the heart of The Hague. Now in my 23rd year of running the school, I still love seeing people take their first steps, find their confidence, and meet new friends on the dance floor.
